University of Basra organizes a workshop on the concept of human rights
The Faculty of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the concept of human rights for primary school students.
The workshop aims to instill universal human values in students and sensitize them to their basic rights, such as the right to education, decent living, protection from violence, and expression of opinion, in a simplified and interactive manner appropriate to their age.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers explained the concepts of human rights in a child-friendly language, and opened the door for dialogue and questions to enhance their understanding of humanitarian principles and encourage them to respect the rights of others, by providing real-life examples and real-life situations, which helped bring the concepts closer to children, allowing students to actively participate and interact with the content presented.
