University of Basra organizes a scientific seminar on aquatic biodiversity
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar on aquatic biodiversity in light of the rising salt tide.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of biodiversity as a type of sustainable development growth factors according to the terrestrial or aquatic environment and endangered species at the level of Basra and Iraq.
The seminar, which was attended by Dr. Susan Abdul Jabbar Abdul Aziz and Dr. Batoul Hussein Hatem, explained the causes of the high salinity of river water and its impact on changing the growth of aquatic organisms, as well as ways to reduce the rise of the salt tongue and emphasize the need to intensify scientific and academic efforts and decision makers to address this issue.
