PhD Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Mapping Modeling of Mobile Phone Tower Ranges
A PhD thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah examined the mapping modeling of mobile phone tower ranges in the city of Zubair and their health effects.
The thesis, presented by student Majid Mayouf Habish Al-Salihi, aimed to model the spread and ranges of mobile phone electromagnetic radiation in the city of Zubair using geographic information systems (GIS).
The thesis concluded that the values recorded for all mobile phone towers were within the permissible limits according to local laws (less than 0.4 cm²/mW). According to the results of the questionnaire, there are no health effects for those living within the ranges emitted by mobile phone towers.
