University of Basra master's thesis examines network management with limited support from the accompanying network
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's College of Engineering examines the management and control of micro-grids with limited support from the utility grid.
The thesis, submitted by student Ali Shamkhi Hashim, aims to invest renewable energy sources in Micro-Grid networks as an alternative source of energy, to reduce the need for fossil fuels and provide clean energy free of harmful emissions to the environment.
The thesis included four chapters in which the researcher proposed control strategies aimed at achieving accurate power sharing between distributed generation sources (DGs) and ensuring stable voltage and frequency values at the common coupling point with minimal requirements for the communication system between the DGs.
