The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basra held a lecture on scientific research, what it is and what it is not, for the eighth unit in the applied specialization, as part of the fourth teaching methods course.
The lecture aimed to recognize the importance of scientific research and the stages of establishing a research team.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Zainab Ali Khalaf, included a definition of the scientific content on how to build a strong and cohesive work team, the characteristics of the Tuckman model for building research teams, the stages of the Tuckman ladder for building a successful team, the hierarchy of the research team, what to consider when choosing a supervisor, how to deal with the research supervisor, his qualities and attributes, and the ethics that a scientific researcher must have.
