University of Basra organizes a workshop on the role of the bill of exchange in preserving creditors' rights
The Faculty of Law at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the role of the bill of exchange in preserving the rights of creditors.
The workshop aims to introduce the importance of issuing a bill of exchange to the creditor to ensure his right to recover his money from the debtor.
The workshop included a lecture presented by faculty instructor Murtaja Daoud Salman, during which he explained that submitting a bill of exchange is only useful in preventing the debtor from denying the creditor's right when demanding payment of the amount of the debt, but how to pay the amount judicially does not distinguish the bill of exchange from cases in which the debtor does not provide a guarantee, as the amount in all cases is paid in installments even if a single payment is agreed upon.
