University of Basra organizes a workshop on solar energy systems
The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Basra, in cooperation with Basra Future Energy (BFE), organized a workshop entitled "Solar Energy: The Future of Energy in Iraq".
The workshop aimed to reveal the types of solar energy systems, their components, and the advantages of using systems that lead to the sustainability of resources and reduce costs and emissions.
The workshop, which was attended by the Executive Director of BFE, Engineer Al-Hussein Saleh Jassim, Dr. Ammar Salman Daoud and Doaa Shahid Habib, addressed the importance of using renewable and clean energies as one of the sources of energy generation to support the national grid and preserve the environment and the related determinants, as well as identifying the components of the solar power generation system and how to choose the most efficient ones to fill the shortfall in electricity supply due to the aging grid and other logistical issues.
