For Sustainable Development in Preserving the Environment and Natural Resources, the University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Climate and Natural Vegetation
The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on climate and natural vegetation in Iraq.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Abdul-Karim Abdullah Hantoush, aimed to support sustainable development plans and studies in preserving the environment and increasing natural vegetation cover to mitigate climate change and improve weather quality in Iraq.
The seminar covered an explanation of the concept of weather and climate elements, the distribution of natural vegetation throughout the country, the factors affecting it, an analysis of climatic regions and their connection to the vegetation range in Iraq, and proposals for increasing vegetation cover to combat climate change.
