University of Basra researches doctoral thesis on electron transfer through industrial molecules with electron-phonon coupling.
The Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra has published a doctoral thesis titled "Electron Transport through Industrial Molecules with Electron-Phonon Coupling".
The thesis, presented by researcher Alaa Adel Shneef, included a theoretical study of a molecular device resembling a benzene molecule, coupled to a phonon bath, using two treatments: Temporal and steady state. The electronic and transport properties were modeled, and the current, conductivity, noise, and Fano factor were calculated. The effect of electron-phonon coupling and phonon energy on the energy gap and molecular distributions, and their role in thermoelectric applications were also studied.
The effect of molecular torsion was analyzed using the Bayesian model, contributing to an accurate understanding of the transport properties of synthetic molecules.
