For sustainable development in the protection of river diversity. University of Basra saves the lives of dozens of turtles from the risk of death
In an initiative to save the remaining aquatic life, a scientific team affiliated with the Marine Science Center saved the lives of dozens of turtles from the risk of death as a result of the dumping of polluted sub-rivers adjacent to the Mina Sports Stadium in the Maqal area in the center of Basra.
The turtles were released in a safe environment in the waters of the Shatt al-Arab to protect river creatures, emphasizing their important role in the process of environmental biological balance and applying the center's plans for sustainable development.
