Opening a new laboratory at the College of Education - Qurna to support the educational process and scientific research
The College of Education in Qurna, University of Basra, opened a new scientific laboratory that includes an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) in cooperation with Lukoil Oil Company and Basrah Oil Company within the social benefits and aims to enhance the capabilities of students and provide a modern educational environment that supports the practical side of the curriculum.
The opening ceremony was held in the presence of the representative of the University President, Dr. Muhannad Hamed Al-Jabri, Dr. Montazer Mahdi and a number of faculty members, in addition to representatives of the local government and academic figures.
The dean of the college, Dr. Ali Thabab Shaaban, stressed that the opening of this laboratory comes within the plan of the university: "The opening of this laboratory comes within the college's plan to develop infrastructure and improve the educational environment in line with the requirements of quality and academic accreditation," he said, noting that the laboratory is equipped with modern equipment and technologies that serve different specializations.
Shaaban explained : "The laboratory will be used to conduct scientific experiments and practical lessons for the students of the college's departments, which will enhance their applied skills and contribute to raising their academic level.
