University of Basra's Dr. Murtada Abbas Faleh publishes a book on the reign of Imam Ali (AS) to Malik al-Ashtar
Dr. Murtada Abbas Faleh, a lecturer at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, has published a book titled Linguistic Gleanings from the Covenant of Imam Ali (AS) to Malik al-Ashtar.
The book contains 175 pages distributed over twenty passages that constitute the material of the covenant.
The book deals with the content of the covenant addressed by Imam Ali (peace be upon him) to Malik al-Ashtar when he entrusted him with Egypt, which is considered one of the most important political, moral, social and economic documents in Islamic history. It also deals with the phonetic, morphological and grammatical dimensions, explaining the lexical, contextual and rhetorical connotations of the words and highlighting the means and methods used by Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in formulating a speech that became over the centuries a constitution for just governance and a model for a virtuous life.
