University of Basra master's thesis examines the numerical study of impact jetting to cool a porous layer
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's College of Engineering has investigated a numerical study of oscillating impact jetting to cool a curved porous layer.
The thesis, submitted by student Zainab Abdul Salam Eid, aims to enhance this strategy by introducing an oscillating horizontal jet that impacts a curved porous layer, with the aim of achieving an increase in thermal conductivity, reducing the resistance of the porous layer, and obtaining as even a surface temperature distribution as possible.
The thesis included a numerical study on the oscillating impact jet to cool a horizontal surface subjected to a constant heat flux and covered with a curved porous layer under mixed convection conditions.
