University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Obligatory Wills in Iraqi Legislation
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on obligatory wills in Iraqi law.
The workshop aimed to define wills and their provisions in Iraqi law.
The workshop included two lectures delivered by faculty members Alaa Omar Mohammed and Ban Alaa Omar. They explained the legally obligatory will as a will mandated by law for a specific category of relatives who are deprived of inheritance due to the presence of a barrier. The will is enforceable by law, whether or not it was created by the testator. This will is enforceable.
