For Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection from Pollution, University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Nanoiron
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the importance of nanoiron and its uses in environmental chemistry.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Zuhair Ali Abdul-Nabi, aimed to incorporate nanoiron compounds into sustainable development plans to address environmental pollution and improve the quality of water, soil, and agriculture.
The lecture included an explanation of the unique chemical properties of nanoiron compounds, such as their high surface area of nanoparticles capable of absorbing heavy metals, interacting with chemicals, and decomposing organic pollutants more effectively than bulk iron.
