University of Basra Master's thesis investigates the shear behavior of deep lintels made of high-density concrete
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's College of Engineering investigated the shear behavior of deep lintels made of high-density, high-strength concrete containing hematite powder.
The thesis, submitted by student Yousef Hani Yousef, aims to test the effect of adding iron powder material in addition to studying the effect of a number of variables such as the shear-to-depth extension ratio (a/h) as well as the effect of the shape and size of the openings on the shear behavior of deep concrete lintels.
The thesis included the presentation of the experimental work and manual analysis on the shear behavior of deep reinforced concrete lintels with high strength and density containing iron powder.
