University of Basra master's thesis examines the role of water in power generation
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's Faculty of Education and Humanities examined the role of water in power generation in the province.
The thesis, submitted by student Fatima Fawzi Dabah, aimed to identify the importance of the role of water in the generation of electric power, which helped to draw a picture of the distribution of the locations of these stations and then know the effective role of geographical features.
The thesis included the concept of water and its role in electric power generation, its importance, the sources of water used in it, the historical development, and the study of the geographical, natural, human and economic components that effectively contributed to the settlement of these stations in the governorate and the uses of water in steam, gas and diesel power plants.
