University of Basra organizes a workshop on the strategic agreement with Clarivate Foundation
The Ibn Sina Center for e-Learning at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the strategic agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Clarivate Foundation in the presence of the Assistant President of the University of Basra for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal and advanced staff and the participation of assistant deans, heads of departments, directors of graduate studies divisions and scientific committees in private and public universities in the south.
The workshop aimed to provide a safe and advanced digital environment for teachers and researchers to expand the circle of publication in reputable journals and reliable sites to raise the name of universities in global rankings.
The workshop, which was attended by the Director of the Pioneering Projects Department in the Research and Development Department, Dr. Thaer Munim Hamed, and teacher Mohammed Rafid Ahmed, included the concept of Web of Science and Clarivate and the mechanism of accessing journals to publish in the repositories safely and make the information available to everyone.
Dr. Haider Khazal stated that these programs seek to serve researchers and their methodological work by paying attention to their pages and published topics
He added that the University of Basra competes with other local and international universities in its quest to apply the fifth generation in learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and interest in evaluating the performance of 3400 teaching staff and developing the capabilities of 2700 graduate students.
