University of Basra organizes a scientific workshop on the concept of food safety
The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop entitled "What is the concept of food safety?"
The workshop, presented by Sara Hashim Moussa, included the necessary procedures and measures to ensure the production, processing, storage, transportation, marketing and consumption of food in a healthy and safe manner, free from physical, chemical and biological contaminants.
She also addressed the role of international organizations in promoting awareness of food safety methods.
The workshop recommended the importance of general hygiene, separating raw and cooked foods, keeping foods at appropriate temperatures, and using safe raw materials.
