University of Basra master's thesis examines the role of directorial energy triggers
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's Faculty of Fine Arts examined the role of directorial energy stimuli in activating the innovation levels of contemporary theater performances.
The thesis, submitted by researcher Kawthar Ahmed Makki, aimed to reveal the essence and motivation of the director's energy according to its innovation at the levels of his theatrical performances by activating its role within the multiplicity of directing styles of the theatrical show technically and aesthetically.
The thesis included the topic of directorial energy and its unique role, which seeks to clarify these stimuli and their levels through multiple ways of characterizing the theatrical relationships of its elements and logical sequences.
The thesis concluded that the triggers of directorial energy are a set of exceptional motives, abilities, and perceptions that are artistically unique in theatrical expression and that are an urgent need for the director, whether subjective or objective.
