A master's thesis at the University of Basra examines family disputes

A master's thesis at the University of Basra's Faculty of Education and Human Sciences examined family disputes in Arab-Islamic society until the end of the Umayyad era.

The thesis, submitted by student Ahmed Shaker Mahmoud, aimed to study the reality of family problems and disputes from a jurisprudential, historical and social perspective with regard to dowry, marriage, children, domestic violence, divorce and inheritance disputes.

The thesis dealt with the historical events of these issues and highlighted the appropriate Islamic solutions to them.
