The thesis, submitted by researcher Maryam Abdul-Zahra Kazim, aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of how place is employed in the poetry of Iraqi expatriate women poets and how it affects identity, personal experience, and psychological and social influences
The dissertation included three chapters in which she addressed the patterns of employing place in the poetry of Iraqi expatriate women, the identity of place in the poetry of Iraqi expatriates, and the semantics of employing place in the poetry of Iraqi expatriates.
