A scientific study at the University of Basra examines the design of a miniature slot antenna with electromagnetic polarization
A scientific study at the University of Basra, prepared by researcher Etiaf Hamed Mohammed and supervised by faculty of engineering Dr. Faleh Mahdi Moussa, examined the design of a miniature slot antenna with circular electromagnetic polarization for applications with wide frequency coverage, including fifth-generation communications.
The study, which was published in the international journal (Technologies), which is one of the journals affiliated with the international publishing house (MDPI) and classified within the Clarivate receptors with an impact factor (3.6) Scopus (8.5 CiteScore) in the first quarter 01
The results of the study found that a new miniaturized slot antenna design is capable of producing a circular electromagnetic beam for wide-bandwidth applications, including 5G communications. The bandwidth of circular polarization exceeds that of all previously proposed slot antennas that harness real-world systems.
