Basra University organizes workshop on applying legal principles to judicial proceedings
The Faculty of Law at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the application of sound legal principles to judicial proceedings.
The workshop aimed to introduce the procedural principles adopted by constitutional courts when issuing judicial rulings on the constitutionality of laws and their compliance with constitutional texts.
The workshop included a lecture by faculty member Batoul Majid Jassim, in which she explained how judicial rulings are based on constitutional requirements that oblige authorities to apply the law by taking appropriate and fair measures when enforcing laws.
