Basra University conducts competitive exam for admission to postgraduate studies (master's degree)
The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Basra held a competitive exam for applicants to graduate studies (master's) for the 2025-2026 academic year, under the direct supervision of the President of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem.
A number of pharmacy graduates from various universities participated in the exam, which was conducted in a highly organized manner with strict procedures provided by the college to ensure the smooth running of the exam process.
The dean of the college, Dr. Jabran Khalil Hassan, said that 78 students participated in the exam and that the college was keen to provide a suitable exam environment by equipping the halls and providing specialized exam committees, in addition to complying with administrative procedures and ministerial instructions regarding the admission of students to postgraduate studies.
He pointed out that the exam included a set of questions that measure the applicants' competence and academic readiness to pursue graduate studies in various pharmacy specialties, such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, drugs and toxins, clinical laboratory sciences, and clinical pharmacy.
