Basra University organizes workshop on the use of probiotics in fish production
The Marine Science Center organized a workshop on the use of probiotics in fish production ponds.
The workshop aimed to improve fish health, promote growth, increase disease resistance, and improve water quality in breeding ponds.
The workshop, which was presented by lecturer Shaima Abdul Karim Jaber, explained the benefits of using probiotics, as some types break down organic waste in the water, which helps maintain water quality and reduce the accumulation of harmful substances such as ammonia. as well as improving feed efficiency, which leads to increased productivity in fish farms.
