Master's thesis at the University of Basra seeks to conduct a chemical and biological study of certain plant compounds extracted from some species of wild jundilia
A master's thesis at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basra researched the important plant components in the wild ka'ub plant and tested some of its biological activities.
The thesis, submitted by student Zainab Mazhar Razzaq, aimed to isolate important plant components from the ka'ub plant and examine the effect of some plant extracts on visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis, as well as demonstrating the antioxidant effectiveness of ka'ub extracts compared to vitamin C.
The thesis included a comprehensive study of the plant components of the kaoub plant and a statement of the effect of kaoub extracts on visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis compared to pentostam, which is the primary treatment for leishmaniasis.
