University of Basrah Participates in Meeting of Deans of Agricultural Colleges in Iraq
The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah, Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, participated in the meeting of the Deans of Colleges of Agriculture in Iraqi universities, which was held at the University of Tikrit.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing the agricultural sector and ways to develop it to achieve food security and sustainable development.
The participants reviewed the scientific status of agricultural colleges, the naming of departments, and the proposal to establish a Department of Smart Agriculture Engineering. They also addressed mechanisms for applying for academic program accreditation and discussed several proposals that would contribute to advancing agricultural education in Iraq.
