University of Basrah Faculty Member Delivers Lecture in Basrah Municipality’s Training Course
Dr. Abd Al-Kadhim Nasser Saleh, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, delivered a lecture as part of a training course organized by the Basrah Governorate Municipality for its employees. The course was held at the Municipality’s headquarters in the center of Basrah and spanned four days.
The lecture covered the fundamentals of garden design and landscaping, the different types of gardens, and the key trees, shrubs, and herbaceous flowers suitable for gardens in the climatic conditions of Basrah Governorate.
The lecture recommended planting trees, shrubs, and annual plants that are resilient to the conditions of the southern region, particularly Basrah, and stressed the importance of adhering to appropriate design standards for both public and private gardens.
