University of Basrah Holds Mourning Ceremony to Commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him)
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a mourning ceremony to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), his noble family, and his righteous companions, in an atmosphere filled with sorrow and sympathy.
Sheikh Abdul-Hadi Al-Tahmazi delivered a religious lecture highlighting the profound meanings of Imam Hussein’s revolution, its lessons of patience, sacrifice, and reform, and stressed the importance of embodying the values and principles championed by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in standing up to injustice.
The ceremony was attended by a number of students, faculty members, and staff, who affirmed their commitment to the path of Imam Hussein and his sacrifices for the sake of upholding the word of truth.
