University of Basrah Participates in the Launch of the Iraqi Environmental Encyclopedia
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah, represented by its Dean, Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, along with a number of its faculty members, took part in the launch of the “Iraqi Environmental Encyclopedia” project initiated by the Bahr Al-Uloom Charity Foundation, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics from various universities and relevant ministries.
The project aims to develop a comprehensive scientific encyclopedia that documents the environmental realities in Iraq and serves as a reliable reference for researchers and policymakers. The encyclopedia will be published in both printed and digital formats, allowing for continuous updates.
Dr. Al-Shawi emphasized the significance of this participation in supporting environmental policies and enhancing national academic efforts.
