University of Basrah Organizes Practical Training Course for Female Farmers on Modern Agricultural Techniques
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Agricultural Consultancy Office and the Farmers’ Associations Union, organized a hands-on training course for female farmers in northern Basrah on modern agricultural technologies.
The course featured lectures by Dr. Sadiq Jabbar, Dr. Mohsen Abdul-Hay, and Dr. Salem Bandar, covering key topics such as protected agriculture, drip irrigation, hydroponics, and the utilization of solar energy.
The Dean of the College personally supervised the training at the research station, affirming the College’s commitment to supporting rural women and economically empowering them in alignment with climate change adaptations and the pursuit of agricultural sustainability.
