The staff of the Department of Administrative Affairs at the University of Basrah have launched their on-site efforts to support the services provided to the honorable pilgrims arriving from the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Shalamcheh border crossing.
Eng. Mahmoud Jaafar, Director of the Department of Administrative Affairs, stated that split-type air conditioning units have been installed and activated inside the caravans of the University of Basrah’s mawkib, which is dedicated to receiving and serving pilgrims. This initiative comes as part of the early preparations for Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
He added that the work was executed with high professionalism by the department’s specialized engineering and technical teams, despite the extreme heat and the challenges of fieldwork. This reflects a spirit of sincerity and devotion in providing the best possible services to the pilgrims and ensuring a comfortable environment for them during their stay at the border crossing.
