University of Basrah Organizes Training Course on Arabic Language Accuracy
The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course entitled “Accuracy of the Arabic Language.”
The course aimed to enhance participants’ linguistic skills and enable them to write memoranda, research papers, and official documents in grammatically correct and error-free Arabic.
Delivered by Dr. Ayman Saleh Neamah, Assistant President of the University of Basrah for Administrative Affairs, the course addressed several key topics, including the correct use of hamzah (ء) at the beginning and middle of words, the distinction between the long and tied forms of the letter taa’(ت), number writing, and the grammatical rules related to defective, hollow, and extended nouns. The course also included a focus on correcting common linguistic errors.
The course recommended expanding training programs in this field and incorporating them as part of the annual performance evaluation criteria.
