University of Basrah Observes a Moment of Silence for Iraq’s Martyrs and Victims of Genocide
The Director and staff of the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a one-minute moment of silence in remembrance of Iraq’s martyrs and victims of genocide, in conjunction with the National Day of Genocide Against Ethnic Minorities.
The event witnessed the participation of the center’s employees, as an expression of solidarity with the victims of the tragedies that have affected various Iraqi communities over the decades.
This initiative aims to reinforce the values of national unity, respect for diversity, and to raise public awareness about the necessity of condemning crimes committed against humanity.
Participants affirmed that this moment of silence stands as a tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and a call to protect pluralism and uphold human rights in Iraq.
