University of Basrah Launches Campaign to Distribute Religious Leaflets at the Shalamcheh Border Crossing for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage
As part of its commitment to social responsibility and its active participation in commemorating religious occasions, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Basrah launched a campaign to distribute religious leaflets to pilgrims heading to the holy city of Karbala through the Shalamcheh border crossing for the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The leaflets included QR codes to guide pilgrims to the locations of the university’s service mawakib, as well as the full text of Ziyarat Arbaeen, to facilitate the performance of the pilgrimage rituals.
Mr. Haider Abdul-Amir Khalaf, Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication, stated:
“This initiative stems from the university’s belief in its leading role in serving the community and its commitment to supporting pilgrims during this profound occasion by providing guidance tools that help them complete their pilgrimage with ease and clarity.”
Khalaf added that the University of Basrah will continue its community outreach initiatives across various occasions, in alignment with its academic and humanitarian mission.
