Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates the Equilibrium and Release of Selenium in Southern Iraq Soils
A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, examined the equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics, and release of selenium in selected soils from southern Iraq.
The thesis, submitted by graduate student Fatima Kamal Hammadi, aimed to determine the thermal equilibrium equations governing the adsorption of selenium in soils from the provinces of Basrah, Maysan, and Dhi Qar, using specific modeling approaches.
The findings indicated that selenium adsorption increased with higher concentrations, with variations in response depending on soil type.
