University of Basrah Holds Workshop on “Fundamentals of Using EndNote in Academic Writing and Referencing”
The College of Education in Qurna at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop for postgraduate students entitled “Fundamentals of Using EndNote in Academic Writing and Referencing.”
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of postgraduate students in using EndNote as an effective tool for organizing, managing, and formatting scientific references in accordance with internationally recognized citation styles. This contributes to improving the quality of academic writing and facilitates the referencing process during the preparation of theses and research papers.
Delivered by Dr. Adnan Badr Ghalib and Lecturer Afrah Talib Abdullah, the workshop included a theoretical explanation of the program’s functionality, how to input and organize references within a digital library, as well as a hands-on session demonstrating how to integrate EndNote with word processing programs such as Microsoft Word. The session also highlighted the differences between using EndNote and manual reference entry.
The workshop emphasized the importance of these skills in achieving accuracy and professionalism in academic work and in enhancing the academic competence of researchers and postgraduate students.
