Book's Chapter by a Faculty Member at the University of Basrah on "Toxoplasmosis" Has Been Published
Dr. Susan Abdul-Jabbar, a lecturer from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, has published a chapter from a book on protozoan parasites: "Molecular Biology and Immune Regulation of Chronic Toxoplasma Gondii Infection," in international scientific collaboration with researchers from Pakistan and China.
The chapter was published in a prestigious scientific book entitled "Protozoan Zoonoses: Advances in the Diagnosis, Prevention, and Treatment of Cryptosporidiosis and Toxoplasmosis," published by the international publishing house Unique Scientific Publishers.
The book includes thirteen scientific chapters focusing on the parasites Cryptosporidium and Toxoplasma. The chapter written by the lecturer provides a comprehensive definition of the Toxoplasma parasite, focusing on methods for diagnosing it at the immunological and molecular levels, and also reviews the globally recorded genotypes of this parasite.
