The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Basrah organized an introductory seminar on the “Study in Iraq” program, attended by a number of the University’s administrative staff members.
This seminar comes as part of the University’s efforts to raise awareness about the program, which aims to attract international students to study at Iraqi universities.
The event included a detailed explanation of the program’s admission mechanisms, the various stages of preparing application plans for students, and the administrative procedures related to the enrollment of accepted students. Organizers stressed the importance of adhering to the program’s set timelines, noting that any delay in procedures could negatively affect the workflow.
The seminar was presented by Mr. Ali Juma Mehdi, Head of the “Study in Iraq” Initiative Unit, who highlighted the program’s success, noting that 49 students were admitted in the first batch of the current academic year. He emphasized that this seminar is an important step toward raising awareness of the program, given its relative novelty in academic circles.
