Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Representations of the Self in the Poetry of Mazhar Hassan Al-Kaabi
A master's thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah examined "Representations of the Self in the Poetry of Mazhar Hassan Al-Kaabi."
The thesis, submitted by student Ali Abdul Rahman Fairouz, aimed to study the transformations of the poetic self in the poetry of Mazhar Hassan Al-Kaabi and analyze its semantic and aesthetic representations. It also sought to uncover the mechanisms of its formation and the manifestations of its fluctuations between states of revelation and concealment, and to monitor the impact of this on the linguistic and artistic structure of poetic texts.
The researcher used an analytical and descriptive approach that combined careful textual reading with rhetorical and rhythmic tools. He reviewed the aesthetics of language, the structure of the poetic image, and the rhythms of the text, including meter, rhyme, and internal music. He also examined the semantic fields and central symbols.
