University of Basrah Discusses Digital Stress and Its Relationship to Student Academic Engagement
A master's thesis from the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah discussed the phenomenon of digital stress and its impact on the academic engagement of university students.
The thesis, presented by student Ali Abdul-Hassan, aimed to determine the level of digital stress among students and their level of academic engagement, in addition to revealing the nature of the relationship between the two variables.
The thesis included a study of the impact of the use of modern digital devices, such as smartphones and tablets, on student academic engagement. The thesis indicated that this technology, despite its significant benefits, may have negative aspects, such as fatigue, pressure, or digital stress.
