Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Safety Rules and the Prevention of Maritime Accidents
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the topic of safety communications as a moderating variable of the relationship between safety procedures and rules and the prevention of maritime accidents and injuries. This study was conducted through a survey of a sample of workers on marine vessels at the General Company for Ports of Iraq.
The thesis, presented by researcher Mu'ayyad Ali Uwaid, aimed to demonstrate the role of safety communications in enhancing the implementation of rules and preventive procedures and reducing the rates of accidents and injuries.
The study concluded that there is a clear relationship between safety rules and the prevention of maritime accidents, formulating conclusions and recommendations to support the improvement of the maritime work environment.
