University of Basrah Holds Workshop on Accounting Basics for Non-Accountants
The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “Accounting Basics for Non-Accountants”, with the participation of a group of faculty members and employees from various colleges and departments.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with fundamental accounting concepts and equip them with the skills needed to prepare and interpret financial data, thereby enhancing their administrative and professional performance.
Delivered by researcher Doaa Abdul-Karim Mutashar, the workshop covered topics such as daily journal entries, preparing balance sheets, and understanding financial statements in a simplified manner accessible to non-specialists.
The session concluded with an open discussion, during which participants’ questions were addressed to maximize both scientific and practical benefit.
