Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Soil Characteristics and Their Agricultural Impacts
A master’s thesis at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, investigated “The Analysis of the Physical and Chemical Properties of the Soil in Shatt al-Arab District and Their Agricultural Impacts.”
The thesis, submitted by researcher Hamed Salah Mahdi, aims to study the variation of physical and chemical soil properties resulting from climatic conditions, as well as the decline of organic matter due to low rainfall and high temperatures.
The thesis comprised three chapters in which the researcher discussed the natural and human factors influencing the soil characteristics of the study area, the physical and chemical properties of its soil, and the impact of these properties on agriculture.
