PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Explores the Role of Sustainable Finance in the Banking Sector
A PhD dissertation at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the role of sustainable finance in enhancing the financial performance of the banking sector. The study was titled: “The Role of Sustainable Finance in Enhancing the Financial Performance of the Banking Sector in the United Arab Emirates with Special Reference to Iraq.”
The dissertation, presented by researcher Mushtaq Talib Abdul-Hamid, aimed to analyze and assess the dimensions of sustainable finance and their impact on the financial performance of UAE banks, in addition to diagnosing the reality of banking practices related to sustainable finance in Iraq.
The findings revealed that the key dimensions of sustainable finance had a significant and direct effect on improving the financial performance of the banks within the research sample.
