Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Second- and Third-Order Gaps in Seventh-Order Projective Space
A master's thesis from the College of Science at the University of Basrah examined second- and third-order gaps in seventh-order projective space.
The thesis, presented by student Mohammed Sami Awad, aimed to study gaps of the (ν,2) and (ν,3) types in this space.
The thesis included identifying potential new types of these gaps, given that the size of the largest of these gaps is still unknown in PG(3,7), and that their number is much greater in seventh-order projective space than in fifth-order projective space. This provides a large number of these gaps for this study.
