A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, focused on the design and fabrication of a self-propelled single-row vegetable transplanting machine and testing its performance under field conditions.
The thesis, presented by Ahmed Abdulhadi Abdulsayyid, aimed to develop an efficient machine for automated vegetable seedling transplantation, thereby reducing manual labor and enhancing planting efficiency.
The study included a field experiment to evaluate the machine’s performance, using three planting depths (40, 80, 120 mm) and three forward speeds (0.85, 1.3, 1.75 km/h) across two different soil types.
