University of Basrah Organizes “Three-Minutes Thesis” Event
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized the Three-Minutes Thesis (3MT) competition, with the participation of a group of postgraduate students and in the presence of faculty members and students of the college.
The event aimed to train postgraduate students to present their theses and dissertations in a concise and clear manner within just three minutes, using simplified language accessible to non-specialists. This initiative seeks to enhance students’ presentation and public speaking skills, while developing their ability to communicate research ideas effectively and engagingly.
The competition featured presentations of several master’s and doctoral research projects across various scientific fields. A specialized jury panel evaluated the presentations based on criteria such as clarity of the idea, accuracy of delivery, and impact on the audience.
