For Sustainable Development in Addressing Water Scarcity … University of Basrah Lecturer Participates in Cultural Program on Agricultural Engineer’s Day
Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Hashim, a faculty member at the Marine Science Center, University of Basrah, participated in the agricultural cultural program organized by the Agricultural Extension and Training Department at the Basrah Directorate of Agriculture, marking the annual celebration of the National Agricultural Engineer’s Day.
As part of the event, he delivered a scientific lecture titled “Smart Agriculture to Face the Challenges Confronting the Agricultural Sector” in support of sustainable development plans to tackle water scarcity.
The lecture included an introduction to the challenges facing Iraq’s agricultural sector, highlighting the importance of employing artificial intelligence in modern agriculture, as well as the application of internet-based and remote-control technologies in agricultural operations.
